Ringwood School Spring Drama Festival

 Ringwood School Spring Drama Festival

Ringwood School students bring you an evening of devised theatre and new writing. In the first half, our GCSE Drama students will perform two devised pieces which the students have created themselves around the themes of Greed and Loneliness. After the interval Years 9 and 10 will perform 'Macbeth, Macbeth, Macbeth, Macbeth, Macbeth' a short play by Kirsty Housley which is part of the National Theatre's Connections project.

When an alarm is deliberately set off during their GCSE drama exam, a group of students find themselves in detention. As they struggle to navigate the seemingly endless tasks they’ve been set as punishment, questions are raised. Who set off the alarm and why? Will they ever get out of this detention? Will it cost them their GCSE? And why is Shakespeare still so popular?
