About Us

The Barn is a modern, purpose-built performance venue located in the heart of Ringwood, Hampshire. Opened in 2023, it was developed within the grounds of Ringwood School to serve both the school community and the wider public. The venue was established to provide a professional space for live music, theatre, comedy, cinema, and speaking events, fulfilling a long-held aspiration for a cultural hub in the town.

With a flexible auditorium that seats up to 500 or accommodates 600 standing, The Barn features state-of-the-art sound and lighting systems, retractable seating, and a fully sprung floor. Its design ensures excellent views and acoustics from every seat, creating an intimate atmosphere appreciated by performers and audiences alike.

The Barn hosts a diverse range of events, from touring shows and tribute acts to school concerts and community productions. It is home to the Ringwood Musical and Dramatic Society and regularly showcases performances by Ringwood School students.
